OBJECTIVES
These are my (Nia's) ideas based on trial class.
To correctly and accurately express yourself about anything you want to express yourself about.
To use the simple past tense correctly and without hesitation
To expand vocabulary to do more than use synonyms, but rather to select words that convey your exact meaning
To detect and correct any pronunciation issues
To detect and correct any difficulty reading numbers (dates, times, measurements, large numbers, small numbers, whole numbers, fractions, decimal numbers)
NEEDS ANALYSIS RAW DATA
1. What expectations do you have of your English tutor?
I expect my tutor to help me learn English.
My expectastions are simply that my tutor will hellp me (to) learn English.
2. What is your main reason for wanting to improve your English language skills? And why now?
The main reason is the need and desire to be able to communicate with people without difficulty. And the time is now because I couldn't dedicate myself to it before because I had other priorities. (or other more urgent priorities)
3. In what specific situations do you currently need/use English? Please be specific.
The specific situation in which I currenntly need English or use English include when I need to use English to explain something about Latin grammar, Roman history, Greek philosophy, or when I'm in a music seminar and I can't communicate/talk fluently with the teacher. I cannot express myself as fluently as I want to.
4. In what other ways do you anticipate needing/wanting to use English in the short term? Please be specific.
I usually attend seminars and lectures where some people speak English, so this could be a situation where I need to use English in the short term. I'd like to achieve this in 5 months. That would also be the answer to question no. 5.
5. If you have short term goals when it comes to English, please share them with me. What time frame. do you have in mind for achieving your short term English goal(s)?
6. What do you think are your specific strengths and weaknesses in relation to English?
My weaknesses are pronunciation, past tense and vocabulary. My strength would perhaps be my understanding and the dedication I'm willing to put into studying.
7. What are your activities and responsibilities at work?
I'm a Latin teacher and a musician. I usually have to speak about these subjects in English..
8. . Do you have time for daily homework? If not, are there any days that you can make time for 15 to 30 minutes of homework?

You now give explanations in English on this topic. And I suppose you already have the vocabulary and constructions to do that. To do that more easily, more quickly, than you do now, takes practice. Fortunately you have at least one current student who requires explanations in English. Each time he needs the explanation in English means another time for practice for you.
